This material consisting on 6 interviews conducted with politicians, civil society and media representatives from Mitrovica South and North, Kosovo – was realized within the qualitative part of the public opinion analysis: ‘’Beyond the Bridge: the symbolism, freedom of movement and safety’’.
The purpose of this analysis is to shed light on the significance of the Ibar River Bridge as a tangible symbol of divisive narratives, freedom of movement and safety precaution; as well as to examine to what extent the Brussels Agreements linked to these three components have been translated into the lives of the Kosovo Albanians and Kosovo Serbs living in the still divided along ethnic lines city of Mitrovica, Kosovo.
The project ‘’Beyond the Bridge: the symbolism, freedom of movement and safety’’ is implemented by Alternative Dispute Resolution Center – Mediation Center Mitrovica, in cooperation with local media outlets: DITORI.com and Kontakt Plus, and is supported by Kosovo Foundation for Open Society (KFOS).
